While
on the road we face many distractions and can be easily influenced in
taking the wrong actions. Texting, intoxication, and horseplay are
now taken lightly because some people don’t realize the full extent
to the consequences they could face in the result of an accident.
Simply waiting to text a person after arrival or just pulling over to
take a call can save a life. We also have many resources if a person
is intoxicated or under the influence, such as Uber or Lyft. A ten-
or fifteen-dollar car ride is better than being charged with an
attempted manslaughter case as result to a collision. Many lives are
at stake when toying with the rules of the road.

Keeping concentration can
lower the number of 40,000 lives lost on the US roads. I have
personally been put in danger due to an adult simply driving while
too sleepy and falling asleep at the wheel. If you haven’t yet
experienced a collision it is very ghastly and can make you see the
road differently. Driving is far more serious than people make it out
to be. 40,000 is a large number and car experts are looking for ways
to have the road be safer. Newer cars are being made with automatic
braking and collision emergency systems. Although this is a great
step forward, it is no reason to put your guard down while operating
a vehicle. Simply freshening up on driving laws and safety rules can
help save your life or someone else’s.
