Since I was very
young I’ve always had an unconditional love for sports. Baseball &
Basketball were always my two favorites growing up by far, but later
in my childhood I started to branch out and play more sports like
soccer & unorganized football in my front yard with all my
buddy’s. As I grew older to about 10-11 years old I’ve learned
that I had the ability to help kids that are not as talented as the
others some tips and tricks to get better. This is where I found my
love to help kids grow as a better player & and a great person
because sports doesn’t last forever, there comes when you’re
going to have to hang up the cleats.
When I grow up I
want to pursue my love for sports and coaching and ultimately become
a Gym teacher and a baseball coach at any competitive level. I fell
in love with coaching at a very young age. I knew this is what I
wanted to do when I grew up. The fact that I can help kids get better
at the sport they love and adore most is just heartwarming, and being
able to play, coach or even be in the dugout is just so satisfying to
My father coached
my brother and I until I was about 7, and he coached my brother until
he was about 16. At 7 I found the team that I am currently on today
for summer ball. A bench of 7 year old’s from all over Anne Arundel
County coming to play together & stuck together as we grow up.
Seeing everyone on my team grow as a player, person, student is just
awesome. Our coach was something special as well, he is by far the
best coach that I’ve ever had, he was there for all of us, through
thick and thin, no matter what situation any one of us were in he was
there for us. He always encouraged us, being in his presence playing
baseball he made us feel like we were the best player, the best team,
and that we could do anything if we put our mind to it.
This is why I
want to pursue a coaching career. I just want to help kids grow as a
player, student and most importantly a better person.
