Before
this school year began, I had the opportunity to be a service
missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was
assigned to serve in Rosario, Argentina. While serving I not only
learned Spanish, but I also learned important communication skills
such as adapting to and understanding a new culture, working with a
wide variety of people, learning how to supervise others, giving
presentations (in Spanish), and explaining different concepts to
individuals.

My
mission was from the 28th of December 2016 to the 7th of August 2018.
This time included a six-week training in Provo, Utah at the
Missionary Training Center then over a year of service in Rosario.
Our typical days consisted of finding and teaching others gospel
principles taught by Jesus Christ. Other days consisted of meetings
and service projects. While I lived in Argentina, I did not hold a
typical job nor did I go to school, but the hours that I worked were
comparable to those things.

These
activities were beneficial on two parts; the people we helped as they
applied Christ’s teachings were able to change their lives and for
me, as I studied His principles and taught I learned how to lead a
happy life.
