Safeway Driving School

I would definitely recommend the Safeway Driving School for Simi Valley. The time has come, that my son is old enough to get his driver's license. I checked around and ended-up going with Safeway in Simi and am so glad that I did. They have been awesome from beginning to end. We're about to have our final lesson and then my son will be taking the test. First of all, the MVP here at the Simi Safeway is Marilyn! She is absolutely amazing, so nice, and so helpful. She always calls to schedule things and just makes it easy. She has always made an effort to work things out for our schedule and for us to get the driving instructor we liked. She also even helped coordinate it so that my son could have his final lesson the day before his driver's license test. This was so he could practice the route, practice the points of the test, and have all of that fresh in his mind for the big test. Our driving instructor James has been so cool and my son loved practicing with him. He is a very cool guy and a good man. He has a very calm, friendly demeanor, and he knows how to work with young people well. My son felt really comfortable with him. James was very punctual, professional, and friendly. He gave us tips and practice suggestions for my son to do in between lessons. There are businesses that do the same thing, offer the same service, and even charge a similar price. But it's the people that make a service great and I'm grateful to these two good people Marilyn & James for making this experience great for both my son and I. So I would recommend them to any of my neighbors, friends, and family. Thank you Marilyn and James!

From the first phone call to passing the driving test, we have had nothing but amazing service. Everyone is very friendly and professional. They want you to succeed and work around your schedule to make sure you get your driver's license. Thank you to the entire team

I was told when we enrolled my son that he would pass, and they would help him achieve his goal of getting his driver license. I sign up for the most expensive part which is seven lessons to ensure that my son will get the training he needs because I'm always busy and I do not have time to teach. My son took seven lessons went to take the driving test and he failed the first time! They ghosted me, so I reached out to them again explain to them what happened, and I requested another lesson and another retake of test so he can ensure passing! They told me it would be additional $180 for the one lesson and to retake the test with their vehicle-so I agreed. My Son failed again. Never reached out to me, never explain what happened and they ghosted me again. I paid nearly $1,00.00 and they did not teach my son anything.! Now I have to start at square one, since I've been riding with him. I've noticed he does not have any clue about driving, and these people do not teach him anything. Being a very busy dad, I'm very disappointed and I feel they took advantage of us! Waste of time and Money!!! Do not consider this driving school for your Son or Daughter. This is my honest opinion about this driving school!!

I made a wise decision when I chose Safeway Driving for my teenage daughter. They are definitely 5 star! I drove her from Santa Clarita to Simi Valley for her lessons, and her instructor James was top notch. Believe me, it's well worth the drive. He knows how to encourage first time drivers, and he is always positive, thorough, and professional. The office staff is also awesome. For example, Marilyn would send reminders for our appointments, and she always accommodated our schedule. Everyone there has a sincere, caring, and friendly attitude. My daughter passed the DMV test with an excellent score on her first try.

Vannessa is an awsome instructor who has been so patience with my mom. She made sure she drive safely while getting prepared for her test drive. she assist her through this jeourney with showing her all the necessary thing she needed to know before her test. thank you

I've moved from other country that drive in the opposite side more than 10 years. I have 2 times fell in the behind the wheel test here. And Marilyn, she's so nice and suggest the course that match for me. I've applied 3 times (6 hours) and I passed the drive test when I just learned 2 times. My instructor are Kim and Rob. Both of them are very nice and patient, they taught me step by step and guide me how to pass the drive test and especially how to drive safely in real life. Appreciate both of them.

Extremely professional and very helpful staff. This was our second experience with Safeway driving school and can't say enough about how helpful they are . Wesley was extremely thorough and patient with my son and kept us in the loop. My son said he was also very easy to talk to and had good conversations with him. Because of his expertise, my son passed the license Behind The Wheel test first try. Merlyn is also super helpful and makes the office experience extremely easy. Highly recommend .

We absolutely loved Safeway driving school. Peter is hands down the most compassionate, kindest, patient man to teach our son to drive. Our son passed his driving test on the first try. We had a joke on how many points my son would miss, and Peter was right on (it was not a lot). He was awesome. She was quite prepared for her behind the wheel driving test today. I can't recommend Safeway Driving School (and instructor James) enough. Right when my daughter got home from her test today, she asked "Can I take the car by myself to pick up lunch?" I had no fear allowing her to go on her way. I have total piece of mind.
