Driving can have fatal consequences when people don't follow the rules such as following the speed limit, lack of attention to the road, and driving under the influence. Due to the amount of accidents caused due to these things drivers education is very important to prevent accidents and deaths in the future. Drivers education teaches drivers about the consequences that they could pay when doing irresponsible things while driving. Drivers education also teaches people hoe to safe while driving. Steps that can be taken to reduce the number of driving related deaths are following the rules of for the road. Rules of the road include following all sign and traffic signals properly. Another step that can be taken is putting the phone down or put your phone on "do not disturb while driving" and if you have consumed any type of alcoholic substance call or have a friend or family member call a ride for you. When I was a toddler my family and I were in a car accident where the person who hit us was driving under the influence and was highly intoxicated. My family and I were very fortunate that the accident was not bad and none of us had an injuries. It is easy to find yourself distracted by your phone when you hear your phone go off. Steps I can take to help some members in my family become safer drivers are texting for them while they are driving so that their full attention is on the road. In conclusion, being a safe driver is simple and everyone can do it by following the rules of the road, freeing themselves from distractions and not consuming anything that could make the driver become dangerous or reckless.
