What is the importance of driver education in reducing the number deaths as a result of driving? I believe it is important to put the thought into a driver's head on what not to do and what to do, along with what will happen as a result of said ´do’. Driver education teaches the driver to be more aware with situations that may arise and consequently end in death. The driver may or may not listen but at least the driver education informs the drivers, however, at least is not enough for the amount of car related deaths that are happening everywhere in America.
What steps can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving? Limit distractions, more/better technology, being focused, etc. I can go on and on with what can help limit deaths. Steps that can be done is developing technology for the vehicles that can help prevent events that end in death, we ourselves can practice giving our full attention to the road so if something comes along we can act fast.
Have you ever had an experience of being in a car accident or have seen your friends or family members driving irresponsibly? I have never been in a serious car accident, but I did hit someone's bumper. Fortunately nothing bad happened. Nonetheless, I have seen my own friends and family drive irresponsibly by using their phones while they are driving and not using the seatbelt. They would text someone back or change the song or destination. I would volunteer to take their phone and do it for them when I am in the passenger seat and remind them to put their seatbelt on, but I do not know what they are doing when they are driving alone in the car.
