What is importance of driver’s education in reducing the number of deaths as a result of driving -Driver education is crucial in reducing the number of deaths as a result of driving. This will help making drivers safer and more aware of the dangers of lack proper caution while driving, teaching the effects of reckless behaviors like speeding, texting while driving, and driving under the influence of strong substances . One of the most important aspects of driver education is learning about the rules of the road. Understanding traffic laws and regulations is important for promoting safe driving attitudes and reducing the risk of accidents,by driver’s education road users can familiarize themselves with traffic safety regulations and law. - Steps that can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving,Individual precautions drivers can stay alert vigilantly and focused, avoid driving while drowsy or emotional, and psychologicallyinbalances , obey speed limits. They can also wear safety gear, avoid distractions like phones and ear phones, and practice defensive driving. Also Cities can be designed to be compact and connected, with smarter streets, safe mobility options, and high-speed roads that bypass residential areas. Other strategies include enforcing traffic laws, improving public advocacy and education, and requiring universal vehicle safety standards Avoiding long drives: Don't drive for long periods without a break.Choosing a safe car: Select a safe vehicle.Limiting passengers and night driving: Try to limit the number of passengers and avoid driving at night,Reversing safely: Reverse in a straight line and only turn when there are no obstructions. -Have you ever had an experience of being in car accident or have you seen your friends or family member driving irresponsibly ? Yes I have being in a car accident, the first experience,I was not the one driving and it was a very compact commercial car also a manual car, immediately the driver move off I knew instantly he was under a influence of hard substances, the driver was heading to hit an electric transformer but someone sitting close to him struggle the stirring with him and turn the car towards not shallow drainage by the road side to put the car to an halt and that was the saving grace and also with my family member driving irresponsibly while trying to show off his driving skills trying to impress passengers and thank goodness we have people to put him in order that faithfully day. -What steps can we take to be a better driver and safer as well as help others become safer on the road? Firstly we must practice what we preach and be a good example to other road used and not forgetting others too are watching, in my county people tend not to wait for traffic light but if an individal waits it causes other to wait too,so in nut shell the changes begin with us. Driving on busy town or city streets can be particularly stressful. So, it’s really worth taking a mindful approach to keeping yourself calm. For example, you could play some soothing music in your car or just allow yourself more time for your journey. Having that extra leeway might mean that busy traffic or any other unexpected occurrence might not increase your stress levels so much. Ultimately, the roads would be a better place if everyone stayed calmer and showed courtesy to their fellow drivers. Remove distractions In a survey, 12% of drivers confessed they can easily get distracted. From satnavs, mobile phones and the radio, to other passengers, there are lots of potential distractions for drivers. All drivers know that an accident can happen in a split second, so any distraction can be disastrous. Next time you get behind the wheel, try to take a fresh look at your surroundings and consider whether there are any distractions you can remove. For example, if you use your phone as a satnav, put it on a setting where you won’t get alerts about messages you’ve received. Or if you’re driving with someone whose chatting distracts you, politely tell them to wait until you can give them your full attention. Don’t be over- confidentDrivers tend to be blind to their own failings. Most people simply think they’re great drivers. But this sort of complacency can be dangerous. Driving is a skill like any other, that needs to be continuously refined, in order to improve. Overconfidence in your abilities could lead to risky driving and serious accidents, this is especially true if it means you overestimate your ability to drive when tired or in bad conditions. So, try and recognise your weak points. For example, while you might be great at parallel parking, perhaps you sometimes forget to indicate before turning off. Or vice versa. Once you’ve identified your weak points, you can make a conscious effort to improve them. After all none of us are perfect on the road. Make space In slow-moving traffic, it’s easy to get packed in like sardines. But be sure to leave a sizable gap from the car in front, in order to reduce the risk of a collision if you stall, if they slip back on an incline, or if you are hit from behind. The same is true when you’re on the faster roads. The Highway Code says you should “allow at least a two second gap between you and the vehicle in front on roads carrying faster moving traffic”. In wet conditions, you need to at least double that gap. Drive defensivelyDefensive driving involves a range of techniques to keep you and others your skills to the next level, so if you fancy really improving your driving skills it’s definitely worth it.
