Driver’s
education is imperative. It keeps not only the person driving safe,
but it retains the benevolent environment around them. The people on
the streets, the people in other vehicles, the passengers of the car.
Everyone can be safe with proper education. Drivers ed can
reduce the number of deaths. This is so as there will be less
accidents occurring when operating an automobile. The steps taken to
reduce that number are numerous. One of the various methods is to
study the driver’s handbook thoroughly. Many people think it is a
waste of time; however, that is not the case. The handbook provides
clear instruction on how to handle each situation on the road.
Another way to contribute to the reduction of deaths is through
practice. Practicing in an open space without any objects or people
in the vicinity not only increases the safety of the public, but it
also increases the safety of the driver as there is less obstacles to
possibly crash into. Furthermore, each driver must watch a short
video of approximately five minutes about a tragedy that happened to
another driver or passerby. The person could have lost his family,
his limbs, and his psychological integrity all due to the apathetic
care for drivers ed. The video will enact great amounts of
pathos to the prospective drivers and enlighten them to be
precautious as to not experience the same distraught as the people in
the video. I have seen family members drive unsafely. They were
clearly not in qualitative conditions to drive; they were
intoxicated. When I waved goodbye and they unsteadily when driving
along the road, my heart sank as I worried about them. To think I can
lose my family members in a matter of seconds, I cannot bear that.
Now, in gratitude of that experience, I will encourage driver’s
safety no matter what. Safety is the number one priority. I will now
study meticulously the rules of the road and engage in situational
learning. I will imagine a scenario and make sure I am prepared to
assess the situation and act for the betterment of our lives. I will
be an advocate for safety while on the streets. When I am driving, I
will be on vigilance of unsafe drivers so I can possibly talk to them
if I ever see them around. I will be a speaker towards prospective
drivers and highlight the importance of all this safety information.
Drivers ed about safety is a crucial pinnacle in our
society.
