The importance of
drivers ed is super important to the driver, especially when
they are new to the road. It helps to reduce the number of deaths as
a result of driving and educates the driver in learning to read
signs, actions, and how to navigate the road. Many accidents tend to
happen because drivers aren’t paying attention to the road; not
obeying traffic signs, rather, they are texting, on the phone,
driving recklessly, etc. It is important to enforce laws and good
practice of what good and safe driving is and looks like. The more
informed a driver is, the safer the road will be for them and for
everyone else. Some steps anyone can take to reduce the number of
deaths caused by driving are to leave for your face-down in a safe
place where the phone won’t be a distraction to your driving,
ignoring any notifications until you’ve parked, connected a care to
bluetooth (if applicable) which prevent less phone usage, having a
passenger navigate the phone for you, etc. I’ve experienced one
minor accident. It happened last year on my way to work. Someone had
crashed into the back of my car. The person who crashed my car was
looking at their phone while having the car in drive. I was not at
fault. Gladly, everyone was okay. Some steps that I can take to be a
better and safer driver are to make sure I don’t look at my phone
until I’m safely parked, set directions and music before driving
off, going the speed limit, knowing how to read signs, etc.
