Cautions About Driving and Parent’s Awareness

When teenagers established on driving on their own,
they tend to increase the risk from being unaware. Right now, I am
still on summer vacation and I am preparing for the first day of
school as a senior. I am currently 17 years old. However, I did not
obtain a driver’s license yet, which I am going to, it is just my
mother wants me to wait until I turn 18. Parents can be aware for
their child because they are afraid that something bad will happen
based on their activities. The importance of reducing death rate as a
result of driving is to be fully experienced and take full
responsibility even from parents to ensure their safety is the number
one priority.



What is it to prevent more car accidents? Teens would
take the risk and not care about safety. One of the most causes of
teenagers is being inexperience. Parents should be aware of this
situation for their child. They should take an active role in
preventing teen driving accidents. As a parent, they should gradually
increase their driving experience. They should talk about the effects
of alcohol because their child is most likely to be involved in
drinking alcohol. Technology can be a negative affect for teens who
utilizes their phones most of the time, they must limit using their
cell phones while driving. Seatbelts are the most essential element
of driving safety, parents should encourage their child to make a
smart and better choice and they should be a good role model to take
advantage of driving responsibility.



From experiencing a car accident, I have not ever
experienced being in that situation, except few of my family members
did experience it with a small amount of damage they have received.
However, I have witnessed several car incidents that caught my eye.
The incident triggered my thoughts that I need to be very careful if
I am going to start driving eventually. My parents and my other
family members wants me to be safe and drive carefully when I'm going
to start driving eventually. That is why me and my parents as
catholics have the prayer of the sacred heart of Jesus to grant them
with their watchful eye and a steady hand.



My steps of taking caution of driving is to not get
distracted and focus driving on the road, and also checking for the
blind spot. My parents know that I will be fine as long as I am
taking full responsibility, but I know they are going to be aware
when I’m driving on my own. As a parent in the future, I will help
my kids and others by telling them about safety and the causes of
alcohol, drinking, and texting on a cell phone while driving to
realize the risk by reducing it down. It is very important to take
full responsibility as a better person to make an improvement choice.
