Once
you turn 16, it’s crazy what privileges you now have just because
of a number. The ability to control what has caused millions of
deaths. People don’t think of that power when they get behind the
wheel, it’s just another part of the routine. People need to be put
through more training and real life situations before they are free
to go and do whatever.


The standard
driving lessons that students have to go through before they get
their license is far too leisurely. I myself am currently attending
driving lessons to get my license, and I can say that they are not
difficult and I believe that there should be harder obstacles. I also
think that the necessity of a mere 6 lessons is part of the problem
as well. Although it is required that you get at least 30 hours of
driving with your parent/guardian, it is not guaranteed that the 30
hours actually occurred. 6 lessons is not enough time or experience
for people to obtain the skills needed to safely drive on the roads.
