Having
a strict driving education, taking the driving test, and obtaining
your licence can help minimize the amount of deaths on the road.
Driving education is a tool that leads us to not only do the job
properly, but also improves our knowledge for driving. In order to be
a good driver you have to make all the right motions and follow the
rules of the roads. This’ll help the driver as well as the
pedestrians.
Whenever
we go to driving school, we learn about different precautions that
have to be taken in order to keep everyone and yourself safe. Before
getting in the car, you should always check around to see if there
are any flat tires. After checking your car and getting in, you
should always put your seatbelt on and check all your mirrors. Make
sure that they are all in the angle that you need them to be able to
see other cars behind you and also check how much gas you have in
your tank to see if you need any more. Before you even think about
driving, you have to make sure that you are well rested enough to
begin your journey because you may fall asleep while being behind the
wheel and it may cause a terrible accident. Also, you want to make
sure that you have no distractions whatsoever that will interrupt
your driving. Most importantly, you should never drive whenever
you’re intoxicated or if you aren’t in the right state of mind to
do so. I know from personal experience how driving while intoxicated
not only affects you, but those around you. I have an uncle who likes
to take more alcohol than the usual. He doesn’t know how to control
himself and this usually happens whenever we have family events and
get togethers. He usually drives himself to the event and he always
insists that he’s in good conditions to drive back home when he’s
not because he’s intoxicated. Unfortunately, I got in the car with
him one time because he was going to take me home. Turns out he was
drunk. I remember the look he had on his face, unaware of his
surroundings. My family kept yelling at him to let us out the car and
to stop driving, but he wouldn’t listen. Because of his state of
being we got into a car crash and he suffered from a terrible injury.

To
become a better driver you should always listen to the people who
tell you that you’re not in the conditions to be driving. No matter
what do NOT have your phone in hand because it will make you crash.
Always remember yours and others right of way, use your turn signals,
and have your headlights on whenever you’re driving in the dark.
Driving is easy as long as you follow the simple rules, leave out all
the laziness and ignorance. “If he did it, that means I can do it
too”. Be a better driver.
