. Especially with the death rate climbing each year for teen drivers. A lot of new drivers don’t really seem to realize how dangerous the road and how dangerous driving can really be. Don’t take it for granted before you end up extremely hurt. I believe kids should be taught about driver safety from day 1 of school, so then that way they have time to think about and develop their driving skills and really think about it. One step to be taken that can reduce the danger in teen traffic is having it more compounded in our schools. For example I believe that drivers ed takes more than a few months to learn, I believe it should start to be taught around the 8th grade so then that way kids have a preview of what to expect once they go into high school. In elementary school if you have a split between gym and drivers ed that will get kids introduced into the class they are gonna take when they enter high school so then that way they will already have prior knowledge before entering.

I have had the experience of being in a few car accidents so far and they are a very scary and heart reckoning experience. In the moment not knowing what is going to happen, just the situation in general being out of your control, can really give you a new perspective for life and what it is worth. I know when I was in an accident it definitely opened my eyes and made me appreciate life and the family and friends I have around me. My family and friends do drive responsibly however, because we all know how dangerous the road can be, so we all take safety precautions to make sure we are all safe on the road and to make sure the drivers and vehicles around us are safe as well.

I believe one thing I can do to improve as a better driver personally is to pretty much establish all the basics. Make sure you have your seatbelt on to protect yourself. MAke sure that your mirrors are fully adjusted for your preference, try not to drift when on the road, and to keep the car at a good pace and safe distance from other vehicles as well (usually a car distance is more than enough). I believe one thing that all drivers can improve on is just making sure you are comfortable. Make sure you feel comfortable in the car and most importantly make sure you feel comfortable on the road.
