Driver education helps people learn traffic laws, safe driving techniques, and how to respond to dangerous situations if needed. It also teaches the risk of speeding, distracted driving such as texting or being on a phone call, and not wearing seat belts. Drivers who are better trained are more likely to make safer decisions while driving, which can reduce crashes, injuries and deaths. Steps that can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving is always wearing a seatbelt in the car. As well as avoiding distracted driving, such as texting or using a phone in general. If your riding with someone you should have them do anything dealing with the phone such as playing music or contacting people. Never driving under the influence of alcohol or any drugs. Not only by driving under the influence are you putting your life in danger but your putting passengers and drivers at major risk as well. Making sure to obey the speed limits and traffic laws at all times, avoiding driving when fatigue. Not following speed limits or traffic laws can lead to you getting pulled over. Unfortunately, I do have my own personal experience of being in a car accident but I don’t remember everything vividly so here’s a short summary. I remember being younger, as young as sitting in a car seat and I was in the car with my Mom and Uncle and as we were pulling into the gas station, I was just saying to my mom that I was about to get out of my car seat and she said no, you aren’t that she was turning around to make sure that I was still buckled in and I just remembered the car speeding up very fast as we were pulling in the parking lot and next thing I knew was that my uncle drove the car through the gas station Wall. Steps I can take to be a better and safer driver as well as help others become safe drivers is staying focused and avoid distractions while driving, distractions can be trying to respond to messages, answering phone calls, changing music, and making sure to always wear a seatbelt and encouraging other passengers who are in the car to do the same for their safety. As well as following the speed limit and traffic laws at all time, as well, as never driving while overly tired. You don’t want to put people’s life at risk by maybe falling asleep behind the wheel. And last but not least speaking up if feeling that someone is driving unsafely, if you feel the your unsafe in a vehicle because someone is driving careless you  should speak up because your life is in danger as well as theirs. Also practicing safe driving habits every time driving. Which making sure to use proper signals, and following all rules of driving, whether that be switching lanes, stopping at lights. One important thing that driver education also teaches is how to prepare for unexpected situations on the road. Even if someone follows all of the rules, there is always a chance that another driver may not. Learning defensive driving skills can help drivers react more safely to sudden stops, bad weather, or reckless drivers. Sometimes you may have to drive for others. Paying attention to the road ahead, keeping a safe following distance, and checking mirrors often can help prevent accidents before you see them even coming. These skills are very important for drivers to be able to stay calm and not panic as well as make better decisions in stressful situations. Also drivers should always make sure their vehicle are safe before getting on the road. This includes making sure all of your tires have enough air, making sure your headlights and taillights are working, making sure your windshield wipers are working good in rain or snow, and most importantly making sure your brakes are good. Drivers also have to know to be good drivers even when weather conditions change when it gets foggy, or it rains, snows, or it’s ice drivers have to know how to manage on roadways because it could be more dangerous for your vision or even for you car ability to be able to stop if needed. Overall, driver education is important because it gives all drivers the knowledge and every skill needed to stay safe while driving. Understanding traffic’s laws and the danger and risks of driving distracted can save lives. All drivers have the responsibility of protecting everyone using roadways by driving safely we can all reduce the number of crashes, injuries, and deaths caused by unsafe driving. Safe driving is something that should be taken seriously by all drivers when getting behind a wheel.
