Headland, Alabama

I really enjoyed taking Driving Education during my sophomore year at Headland High. At first , I was really nervous because even though I had been practicing driving my mom’s car , it just was not the same as driving with a teacher at school . The first couple of weeks, we just learned in the classroom and mainly what was discussed was from the a about the driving method. That was not scary at all but when it came to driving , that was from the Alabama different story .
When it was time to start driving, I was number 3 to drive so I had time to calm my nerves and look and see what the others did and what was required and I observed and wrote some notes to help me when it is my time to drive.
When it was my time to drive , I was nervous but I did okay for the first day out. Then after the 4th and fifth day, I was getting better and better . At first it was a struggle for me during the 3 point turn and parallel park but after a couple of tries and listening to my teacher , I was able to catch on and do it without any mistakes. I must say that at first, I thought I would not get the parallel parking . I must say that it was the most nerve racking regarding me passing that or not. My teacher keep telling me t relax and don’t be nervous. Once I was able to take deep breaths and calm down, I was able to accomplish those obstacles. I really like it on Fridays when we will drive to a Restaurant of our choice and drive there . When it was time , I chose Burger King Restaurant and as I was driving there which was like 10 miles from the school . My drivers education teacher advised me that I will need to drive the speed limit whenever driving. I was confused because my mom said I could go only 5 miles over the speed limit and I would be ok and not get a ticket .
Well I did listen to my teacher as well as as I drove now , I do not go over the speed limit and drive with caution as care.
I must say that I had the coolest driving teacher . He was patient with us and we all learned a lot from him. He said that he loves to teach this class and enjoy the students.
I did pass this class and received my letter that I passed and now I could go take the paper to the DMV office when it was time to get my drivers licenses
I love the fact that when I arrived at the DMV office , I didn’t have to take their driving test and it didn’t take long. I received my driver's licenses that day. Another good perk about taking driving education at school , you will receive a discount on your insurance.
Now that i have my driver”s license and driving to school on my own car, I still remember what the teacher taught me.
