I feel like driver education is very important because the more you know on the road the less mistakes you can make. Driving is already dangerous so we as a society need to be as careful as possible and make sure we're following as many rules as we can and are teaching each-other the right things so we can keep everybody safe. Some steps I feel like we can take to reduce the number of deaths is to make the driver test harder. I feel like there are a lot of people on the roads that have a driver license that shouldn't have one some people's vision gets worse, some people get diseases that change the way they have control or can control a steering wheel and some people skills just aren't the same as they first were when they took the test the first time so i would say we should have a drivers test every year just to make sure everyone can still drive just to keep the roads safer and i know by doing this the fatality percentage will reduce because everyone would have been passed to drive. I also feel like schools should bring back in school education when it comes to driving. I recently just got my license and when i drive everyday i see someone nearly cause an accident at my school from doing something silly like speeding out of nowhere for no reason or running a red light and they might think it's not a big deal but when they break those rules there not just putting their lives at risk there butting everyone in the area lives at risk that another thing about driving you shouldnt just drive and follow the rules to just protect yourself when you're doing that you're protecting yourself and everyone on the road. People fail to realize when you get in an accident you impact everyone in your car and the other so all i'm saying is when your driving don't be selfish and just drive for yourself drive for the families around you as well. More than likely everyone at school will eventually end up driving so it makes sense that school teach their students something about driving safely and making sure they know all the laws and when were young we don't think about all the consequences of everything we do so learning more about the rules and consequences could make the kids around the world want to do better driving and actually care about driving safely.. Recently my friend just lost his life in a car accident he was sixteen years old and he was speeding without a seatbelt so i know how not following the rules could cost you and because of the decision of him to speed and not wear a seatbelt he lost his life and this incident showed me that anything could happen and it can happen fast and unexpectedly to anyone nobody is invincible. My friend's death also made me think we should be more strict about seat belts. Fifty percent of people who don't wear their seatbelt during an accident die so I feel like cars should implement features in the car that will make the driver and the passengers use their seatbelts because to many people are losing their lives due to not using it so if the people aren't going to start using it i feel like the companies need to start forcing it upon their customers if they really care about them. So you should always make sure you're taking precaution and following the correct rules like checking your blind spots, turning your blinker on and letting the pedestrians go first. Small things like that can stop an accident from happening and can keep everyone safe. I feel like the traffic violations also aren't strict enough when you do something wrong when you drive you normally get a ticket i think the punishment should be more harsh so people will just follow the rules because like i already explained when driving any mistake can be fatal so if we suspended peoples licenses whenever they do things like run red lights and stop signs they get their licenses suspended and we can keep our roads safe. I know for me as long as I put my phone on and do not disturb, I can drive safely for myself and those around me and that's what I'm going to do to keep myself and everyone safe .
