Driver’s Ed provided me with the tools and knowledge that I needed to hit the road. It taught me what certain road signs meant, what road markings were, and how to operate a vehicle. It was also very important that we knew the dangers of alcohol and drugs and their effect on the driver. It is never a good idea to drive yourself or with others under the influence. Driver’s Education also taught important skills for if something were to happen, such as changing a flat tire and what to do in the case of an accident.
All in all, if more people took Driver’s Education, lives would be saved. More people would know a lot more about the roads and safety, so naturally, deaths would go down. I think if Driver’s Ed was made a mandatory pre - requisite to getting a license, the roads would be a lot safer than they are now.
