Operating a four thousand pound hunk of metal at fifty miles per hour with a handful of bells and whistles added on that also including other drivers who have to accomplish the same feat can be tedious. With about forty-three thousand deaths by car accidents each year, driving a vehicle is a technical and difficult task. The importance of driving education can reduce the number of deaths by using techniques such as teaching safe driving practices as well as raising awareness about the consequences.
The impact of driving lessons can save lives by directing a common welfare for driving. The worst part about getting a driver's license was personally the amount of time it took me to be legally granted to drive, and it simply frustrated me that I couldn’t get my license in a month or so, but now that I went through the process of driving I completely understand. For my personal driving experience, I chose to learn with a driver school where I was taught defensive driving, the basics of the road, and general car driving knowledge. The first item that was handed to me was a test review and road sign manual because we had a test in a couple of days, thinking that I was going to learn the basics of how to drive first thing I was taken aback, but once I studied the material the next day I was pleasantly surprised on how many signs and symbols I wasn’t even aware of. Even later on during the course the instructor guided us through the basic mechanics of driving a car, I knew that without this teaching I would be in a rough spot in the driver's seat.
The importance of driving can be a life or death situation and showing the consequences of effortless driving can increase the importance of driver education. For instance, at driver school about every other day towards the end of class my teacher would show me and my peers a compilation of car wrecks and the reasons behind each one ranging from either texting while driving to driving while intoxicated or even driving aggressively and dangerously mostly referred to as road rage. With these horrifying experiences that I would never want to live out and now know the consequences of, I’m about to practice the skills needed to drive without being urged to drive recklessly because I now know the consequences of those actions.
The ending of life by vehicle accident is too high in this day and age with lackadaisical driving laws as well as day-to-day road construction malfunctions, Steps such as Improved road infrastructure and an alternate mode of transportation can reduce the number of deaths by driving.
The road can be a safer place with the encouragement of other modes of transportation. Driving isn’t for everyone and that is ok, some places don’t even need a car such as big cities like New York or San Francisco, because these places have alternate routes from A to B like a taxi or subway. Forcing or persuading someone to get on the road can get dangerous for instance if this person has Amaxophobia: a fear of driving that could put the driver and fellow drivers on the road in danger.
I know that the world of driving wouldn't have countless lives lost if the industrialization of road improvement was heightened. I don’t know how many times I was frightened of driving strictly because of the road, the use of challenging obstacles and more wiggle room in the lane is how driving and even drivers improve the challenges on the road such as barriers and roundabouts, increase the rate of drivers thinking about what their next move is instead of simple putting their foot on the gas and touching the wheel with a cellphone in the other hand. Also, enhanced lighting would suit nicely, sure the LED purple light is currently on the highway but what about the other portion that hasn’t even seen the light of day, this makes the purple lights a part of the cause.
Steps you can take to be a better and safer driver and even help others do the same include staying educated and informed when you're continuing your driving experience and starting defensive driving techniques.
As you know education is a powerful tool and it is best to sharpen it when you can, especially on the road doing things continuously like putting yourself in different driving situations to build your skills in certain scenarios, reflecting and evaluating your mistakes and even skills while driving can also be an educational tool. Defensive driving techniques can also help with the improvement and well-being of drivers, being tentative to staying alert and obeying common traffic laws will you and the drivers around you stay in line along with anticipating decisions while on the road and avoid distractions such as texting or eating while driving will be an astounding help to the driving community, and would decrease the amount of crashes in the future, with my car being a victim to multiple accidents and hits, I can assure you that these steps will the safety of drivers.
When it comes to driver education and steps needed to decrease deaths by driving and car accidents, with personal experience and research sharpening your skills as well as following the law missed with a little industrial road work improvement, the world of driving would flourish.
