I believe the
Drivers Ed Program has a crucial role in helping young
drivers. Having the chance to get behind the wheel and practice
driving with an experienced adult helps young drivers understand not
only how to drive, it also gives them insight into what to do in
different situations that could occur. The Drivers Ed Program
offers instruction about the correct ways to drive and the laws of
the road. Most deaths related to driving are caused by distracted
driving. If people were to put away their phones, that would reduce
the number of deaths and accidents. Most of my friends participated
in the Drivers Ed Program and practice safe driving. However,
every once in a while, my dad will get on his phone while driving and
I have to remind him to put it down. I am thankful that I took the
Drivers Ed classes. It made me understand how attentive I
need to be when driving. I have thought of two ways to ensure that I
stay focused: I place my phone on do not disturb and turn my phone
around so I can not see the screen or any notifications that pop up.
