Drivers Ed Should Be Mandatory Before Renewal
The importance of drivers ed is something that should be mandatory. As often as you renew your driver’s license you should be tested to clarify and verify if you should still be in the driver seat. This will ensure that those who are licensed are able to understand the road signs and will teach driver curtesy.
As the world continues to rush, patience has long dwindled in the rearview mirror. Road rage and texting while driving have become an all-time high. Many companies have activated apps that disables the phone if the vehicle is in motion, but many tech savvy individuals have learned to bypass it and able to use technology while driving.
I personally was a victim of a car accident on the highway where I was rear ended and my car went up in the air and came down on the car in front of me, due to the driver who hit me being distracted by a text that came through his device from his employer. He did not see traffic had stopped and hit me driving 60mph as I sat sill on the freeway. This accident has made me more aware of the importance of eliminating distractions while driving though, I have never been a cell phone distracted driver, I have been distracted by my child while driving.
I understand the importance and believe drivers ed refresher is a great way to make motorist safer, giving conscious awareness to those who may not realize driving distracted you are not jeopardizing your safety but safety of others also.
