Teens that take Drivers Ed are more likely to drive safer and avoid dangerous situations on the road reducing the possibility of having a car accident. The teenagers that do take the diving courses demonstrate more knowledge of the road rather than those around them that did not take Drivers Ed. In order to gain a license it is necessary to attend a form of Drivers Ed so that the young drivers are able to avoid situations that can cause dangerous situations and gives the opportunity to think out scenarios to be able to make right driving decisions in a short span of time so there are no wrecks.

There are so many ways teens can take to reduce the number of deaths for driving. Traffic laws are in place for numerous safety reasons one major way for teens to lower the death number is to obey and recognize traffic laws. Drivers Ed stress that teens should not drive under the influence of drugs and alcohol, a stable mind, and well rested. Leaving early to head to your destination is more important than leaving late and driving over the speed limit and driving very dangerously because not only are you putting your life more in danger but other drivers around you as well. Teens in this generation are always surrounded by techno;ogy and their phones one major reason for crashes are text messages and phone calls. Teens text while driving which prohibits their ability to focus on the road and those around them and causes dangerous situations for everyone. Not one text message or call is important enough to risk one's life if needed to pull off the road to answer or text back but never while driving.

Just recently last year I experienced my very first car crash as the driver. I was driving in very bad conditions and was not taking the necessary precautions taught to me and put myself and others at risk. I was turning across three lanes of traffic and was not looking carefully enough and turned right into oncoming traffic and hit a car. I had gotten very lucky as no one had gotten hurt and it made me realise turning quickly to try and not be late to my next destination was irresponsible and I could have really hurt someone or even could someone lose their life. Ever since that day in January I have taken extra precautions and made sure to leave extra early so I am not in a rush and do not make rash decisions and cause danger to the drivers around me. I have in the year and half of me driving made sure I never once texted a while I was driving I know how many young teens have gotten critically injured or even lost their lives for a text message and I never wanted to have to make my family go through that if I had lost my life for a single message. That is the one thing I know many teens ignore and pass off as they believe it cannot happen to them but it can and it will be disastrous so teens should not text and drive as it can be very deadly and dangerous.
