Everyday people use their automobiles to get one place to another. Driving is essential
for everyday usage. Automobiles are used in today’s society, new or old being used to travel to
places. People traveled more with this decade then before of my generation. You can travel for
miles, even more miles with the perfect car. The better mileage on the car that you have the
more mileage you can get somewhere. But there are setbacks into owning your own car. It had
been about fifty or so years since automobiles became famous and for that it is still pretty new
to my generation. And more new auditions of car are being made. Making them more
sustainable for transportation around the country. Drivers education has an important role in the
future of driving. Like drivers ed courses, being aware of distractions while driving and
behavioral and physical attributes. There are many ways to prevent accidents while driving. Lets
follow some steps that can lead future accidents to rest.
What steps can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving?
Let’s start with step one, doing a 360-degree check list around the car. And inside the vehicle.
Questions to be answered while doing this are, “Is there anything wrong with the car that can
lead to an accident”. For example, tail lights out, torn shrapnel, and engine failure. How do i fix
these instruments? Well for instance if it is damaged take it to a car dealer shop or automobile
shop to have an actual professional automobile mechanic look at it. Sometimes going to the
dealer can be pricey but is it worth it? Answer is yes, it is costly but in the end its worth having a
more knowledgeable person has a look at the mechanical issues that need to be seen. And
having them do a look around the vehicle for damages as well helps out to prevent accidents.
A check list of short from the outside to the inside. Like belts, windshield wiper, list of electronic,
mechanical and software. Failures of the engineer, like I said before can also lead to prevent car
problems out on the road. And we want to prevent that as much as possible. Having knowledge
of some of these things or have a professional look at them or fix them is a step by step
procedure that everyone can do to prevent an accident. And a procedure that should happen to
prevent problems with your vehicle. More of less be discrete and professional while have a car
can prevent incidents from happening.
From experience, I should have followed some of those steps. For not paying attention to
these steps lead me into not having a car anymore. My story is pretty simple. I was driving on
the highway in to the inner city of Kansas, I was speeding not paying attention, listening to music
way loud and not paying much attention to what was around me. And these distractions could
have gotten me killed. I ended up losing control of my SUV and did a 180 degree turn on the
highway, jump the metal fence post landed right in front of traffic on middle run on the grass. I
went to the hospital and got checked out. Everything was fine for me, I was not injured or
anything. But my SUV had a lot of front damaged. The whole front was almost torn off. And no
one else was involved it was just me and myself. They towed my SUV and I never got it back.
Would certain steps prevent my accident, help me become a better and safer driver and as
well as other drivers? Yes, I know now if I followed certain steps from my accident I could have
prevented it. I could have looked of what was around me. Did a three-sixty degree look around
my SUV. Other steps like shutting off the radio and observe oncoming cars and those behind
me. These step if I used them before I left my home I could have prevent an accident, damages
to my SUV and a ride to the hospital and much more. My conclusion for this is simple observe
what’s around you, and in your car, fix mechanical problems and pay attention to what’s in front
and behind you when you are driving. These steps can save lives and yours. My final point is
that you can become a safer driver and maintain a level of professionalism while driving and
have a more reliable vehicle that is safe to drive.
