Driving for the Better
Over the past couple of years, many automotive accidents have occurred that resulted in injury and the loss of life. One must begin to educate themselves with driving rules and techniques to keep them and people safe while driving.
Many steps in driver’s education are required for a person to be able to drive safely on the road such as keeping calm on the road. This is the major factor of driving safely because if a person is in a bad mental state while driving, they cannot maintain focus and therefore cause an accident. Another factor that a person should know before driving is to revert the focus onto the road ahead and looking out for dangers ahead of time. By doing so, this keeps a person alert and focused on driving and will allow the person to drive more cautiously. In addition, one must never rush to go to a certain place no matter what it may be. It does not matter if it is a late doctor’s appointment, a party, or a date. A person who rushes on the road with the mindset of getting to their place as fast as possible, factors into driving recklessly. This is also one of the major causes of accidents that can take a person’s life. When my cousin was driving a car, she was racing the time as she was late for her class. Not for long, she ended up ramming into another car’s bumper. She gave a word of caution to me that I must not rush when driving and that it could end up much worse than her accident.
Before a person begins starting up their engine, they should adjust their mirrors and drink some water. Adjusting mirrors allows a person to see their surroundings much more clearly and drinking water, allows a person to be awake and prepared for driving. A person must also turn their phone face down to avoid getting distracted by text messages and voicemails. By taking all these steps, a person can be safer and keep driving for the better.
