Driving responsibly


Driving
is very common and often overlooked but it is a privilege and also a
huge responsibility because it has the potential to be a very
dangerous thing. Driving responsibly and driving safely is very
important because it decreases the risk of causing or being in a
fatal collision. You can help make the roads safer by completing a
drivers education course, enforcing safe driving to friends and
family, and practicing safe driving on your own.
Driver
education is very important to ensuring the safety of drivers because
there are certain laws and rules that someone who might not have
taken drivers ed would not know. For example, someone who might
not have completed drivers education might not know that in a left
turn a solid green light means yield. Knowing all the different rules
of driving could help prevent any accidents that might result in
fatalities. We can reduce the number of car collision fatalities by
showing people how driving irresponsibly can affect the lives of
others. Another thing we can do is enforce safe driving to more
drivers and less experienced drivers. I know first hand how important
it is to be alert while driving.

I have only had one experience of when I was in a minor car accident.
It was a very scary experience even though it was not a major
collision. I was rear ended while my car was in park and the other
driver was only going 15 miles per hour. I think I can be a better
and safer driver by always being alert and not using my phone while
driving. It is very important to not use your phone while driving
because it is very easy to become distracted by it and a collision
can happen in a second. I think I can help others become safer on the
road by telling them to not use their phone while driving. I can also
enforce it to them by telling how many people have died as a result
of being on their phone while driving or the other driver being on
their phone.
As
you can see, driving is a big responsibility and it has the potential
to be very dangerous if you are not a careful driver. You can hurt
yourself and others by not driving responsibly and it can cause a
fatal accident. It is very important to practice safe driving on your
own and to enforce safe driving to others.
