Driving
safe

I still remember the
first time I was in the driver's seat, I was driving a small car
owned by my high school, my driving instructor was in the passenger
seat trying to teach me to drive. I was completely terrified of
steering because turning was a nightmare with my question mark turns.
My driving instructor was a godsend because he never got upset when I
did something wrong he would just tell me what to do next time to be
a better driver. My experienced drivers ed teacher helped me become
the cautious driver I am today. Now just imagine drivers ed wasn’t
required, I would be an unsafe driver, dangerous to myself and
others. My parents both have their license, but they didn’t know
how to teach me to drive, they relied on my drivers ed to
teach me how to become a safe driver. So when inexperienced drivers
complain about having to take drivers ed I get worried that they
might ignore the valuable lessons they should learn and instead
become a danger on the roads.

The most
important thing to rememberer is never drive distracted or under the
influence. Texting while driving causes severe injuries to more than
330,000 people each year so make sure you are concentrating on the
road and not on you device. The easiest way to stop texting while
driving is turn off your phone and place in where you it won’t
distract you. Unfortunately, driving under the influence of alcohol
is the number one cause of death so make sure you have a designated
driver or a family member to drive you, never under any circumstances
should you drive drunk. Not only are you a danger to yourself you are
also putting all the responsible drivers around you in danger. This
being said just be courteous driver, the slow driver in front of you
during a snowstorm might be a teenager and it could be their first
winter driving.
