In the US, at least where I’m living, it’s practically necessary to own a car. Public transport isn’t really isn’t very helpful because it is alot more time consuming and basically ends up being the same price. Which is why at a young age, my parents taught me how to drive, not because I had to, but just in case there were any emergencies. So then they told me to get my driver’s permit. I had to take a drivers ed class in order to get it and it was helpful for me because I feel more aware of what could happen when I am on the road. I think that it is important to take a drivers ed course in order to have more knowledge and be more careful while on eis driving since it could cause an accident. We can all make a small change in our driving habits in order to be more safe on the road.
Some steps that we could take in order to reduce accidents is to pay attention to the road at all times, since anything can be a distraction and anything can happen in the course of only a few seconds. We could also make sure that it is safe to drive. For example, not driving intoxicated, emotional or in any other type of unstable manner that could cause accidents. Personally, I have been in some car crashes where the person at fault was just being careless and could have avoided the problem very easily. Now, if that person were in an unstable manner or behavior the outcome would have been much worse than it was. Also, we could avoid accidents if we all were more calm, well to the ones that aren’t. We should plan our time wisely and not be in a rush all the time in order to get to our destination more quickly.
Accidents do happen, but I think that everyone can avoid them very easily if they paid more attention and be more aware of the damage that accidents cause.
