Focus
on Driving
Sitting
behind a wheel of a car is an action that requires an enormous amount
of responsibility as the vehicle is capable of hurting you as well as
others. Roughly a quarter of all driving deaths are results of
distracted driving with many more likely being related to distracted
driving, therefore focusing on driving rather than what might be
happening in the car or what the advertisement on the store window
is, can lead to a decrease in the number of accidents and deaths.
Seemingly
driving is very simple and everyone can do it but to do it safely,
driving knowledge and awareness is required. Driving education
teaches you practices and tips that might not be in a rule book but
can turn out useful. Knowing to plan for a trip in advance is a great
example that allows the driver to avoid panicking in the car as well
as last minute rushed talking or planning that would lead to
distracted driving.
On
occasion I have seen a lack of focus on driving done by my own
friends and it scares me in response to which I give 100 percent to
my driving. Young adults often get distracted by other passengers who
might be unaware they are distracting the driver or even worse they
know and continue to do it. The best idea would be to ignore those
passengers even if it means sacrificing a few laughs but your life is
more important than that as well as the lives of all those friends.

Avoiding
as many distractions as possible greatly reduces the risk of accident
and all it requires is to focus on the road which is very easy but
requires a small sacrifice of putting down a device or avoiding an in
depth conversation with a passenger. Texting and driving is one of
the greatest causes of driving accidents because many people believe
they are able to drive and text perfectly at the same time which is
impossible as driving requires full attention.
It
is important to remember how much of a threat a vehicle possesses and
how easily it can take a life and most likely not your own. It is
very likely you would not want to be a victim of a vehicular homicide
as you should not be the one behind the wheel which can be achieved
by focusing on the road in front of you.
