As
a student that drives I think it is very important that every student
gets enough drive time with a parent or guardian before getting on
the road with friends or by themselves, what this means is that it's
not a good idea to make up hours because once the student gets on
the road there will be many distractions around them and a parent
won't be there next to them to tell them to keep their eyes on the
road.

Having
great self control is definitely a good factor to have when you have
your phone in your car and your friends are texting you and because
of this, 55% of teens today get into an accident because of cell
phone use while driving while adults aren't much better either they
are at 75% but that means that with a little more self awareness and
discipline we will be able to get these percentages down lower by the
end of the year.
I
can't say I haven't witnessed unsafe driving, My boyfriend switches
music on his phone while he is driving even though he has steering
wheel controls, this is also can be in result of someone
impatient, patients is key to driving,My mom has a really hard time
with this one she tends to think she can get over to avoid a long
traffic line right before a light. I've gotten into a car accident
with my mom but it wasn't another car it was a deer, my head got
stuck between the driver's seat and the window so now I have a hard
time with being out at night while driving.
The
best way you can be a better defensive driver is be cautious of your
surroundings never let your eyes off the road because that one second
can be the last second you are in this wonderful world. Many people
don't understand that not only you are affected by your
reckless, effortless, impatient driving. You may impact more than 3
people lives in one simple mistake.

Take
this message into consideration and stay aware and off your phone.
