How Proper Drivers Ed saves lives How Proper Drivers ed saves lives Drivers ed teaches teens and adult about more than just driving a car. It teaches them how to scan for possible dangers, see the dangers, and quickly figure out how to avoid them. One of these dangers is a car accident. Seeing a drunk driver or a reckless driver are two things to looks for. Learning how to avoid recognize and avoid those dangers has reduced the number of deadly accidents. There are more steps that can be taken. An online simulator can become required in all courses. It could run a student through multiple common accidents and they have to try and avoid them. They can see the damage those accidents do, learn to avoid them it a way that won’t cause them harm, and they can remember what to do if presented with that situation on the road. I have had a few experiences of car accidents and friends driving irresponsibly. My mom and I got rear ended by a guy who fell asleep in his car. He fell forward and suddenly hit the gas really hard. He just drove off when he was woken up by the air bag. I also was in the car with some friends and the driver was speeding 20 over, and they all were vaping. I mentioned the dangers but the music was loud so the didn’t stop. Luckily, there was no accident but there are lots of people who are unlucky in this situation. To become a safer driver, I can learn from those experiences and follow speed limit laws, watch other drivers, and not drink or do any sort of drugs while driving: including vaping/ smoking. If I see someone being irresponsible, I can let them know that what they are doing is not okay and I can tell the dangers of what they are doing and hopefully help them drive safer. Safety is number one priority!
