Driver Education Round 3
How To Reduce Driver-Related Deaths

To start off, deaths related to driving can be reduced by enforcing better driver education. There are countless car accidents every day, and it seems like the amount of them is only going up. Some people just do not seem to care about some of the rules that are in place. This leads to the rules being broken, which then puts other drivers at risk. Better driver education needs to be put in place so that people will be aware of what they should and should not do while driving. This alone could help reduce accidents, as it makes people more aware of what could happen if they are not driving properly.
Next, deaths related to driving can be reduced by enforcing the rules more. Countless people in today’s world go way over the speed limit, because they believe they will not be punished for it. If the speed limits were more strictly enforced, then people would be more cautious and would not speed or run red lights. These are 2 main causes of numerous accidents that occur on a daily basis, so the deaths would most likely be reduced if these 2 were reduced. Police need to continue to enforce the law for speed limits, so that people are less likely to speed, which will lead to less accidents and less driving-related deaths overall.
Furthermore, driving-related deaths can be reduced by encouraging safe driving. Even though people are told not to text and drive, so many people today still continue to do it. This still leads to countless wrecks on a daily basis, because people on their phones will not be able to be fully focused on driving at the same time. Driving takes one’s full attention, and if the driver does not give their full attention to their driving, the chances of them causing an accident are dramatically higher. Encouraging safe driving is a topic that many people have tried to do, but it does not always work. However, it is beneficial because it helps raise awareness and continues to remind people about the damages that could happen if they are not fully focused on driving.
Personally, I have been blessed to never have been in a car accident. However, I have heard concerning stories of people being in accidents and I know how tragic they can be, especially if someone ends up passing away. There are multiple steps that I can take to make sure that I am being a safe driver. To start off, I can always keep myself accountable in making sure that I do not go on my phone at all while I am driving. I can also make sure that I always keep my full focus on the road while driving. This will drastically decrease the chances of me getting involved in an accident. Another step I can take is to always be extra cautious when driving no matter what. Sometimes, this means being ready to brake at any time if I notice that I am near a careless driver. Constantly being aware of the drivers and cars around you while driving is an important step. Even if you are a safe driver, there may be a careless driver near you that may cause an accident if you do not watch out. Being aware of your surroundings while driving can help save many wrecks from happening. I can help others be safer on the road by setting a proper example through my driving and by following the rules. In conclusion, I can be a safe driver by keeping myself accountable and always being extra cautious.
