It is very important to become educated on how to drive. If you are educated on how to drive you won't understand how to properly do it. It's kind of like how you have to go to school to earn a degree you don't just go out on your own and figure out how everything works. You will have to get some sort of education and somebody that knows how to teach the class teach you so that you in the long run can be a safer driver and not be in any wrecks. You can inform people about car safety and how to drive right without causing a wreck this should help cut down the deaths of people in the United States. Most people wreck because they are distracted from either playing on their phone or doing something that they shouldn't be doing while they're driving. If you went to a drivers ed class you would understand that texting and driving is not legal and any sort of distracted driving is not good.
Probably the first step to reduce the amount of deaths in car crashes is number one do not let your friends or relatives text and drive. When you text and drive you are trying to focus on two things and not just on driving. You also don't maintain eye contact with the road ahead of you and if you're moving along very quickly things will come up on you quick. You can also create clubs in your school or even work environment that promote good driving habits. This in turn should also help cut the deaths if you make it a very big deal that their life is worth more than that text message or SnapChat or whatever they're about to send.
I have never personally been in a car wreck but my brother was in a wreck about two years ago that he was pretty fortunate. The girl that was with him walked away with scratches and bruises from the seatbelt my brother he wasn't as lucky. He had three cut tendons in his hand and couldn't move three of his fingers, he was then transported to a surgeon that was going to perform a surgery to reconnect the tendons and get all the junk out of the cut. He then was in a splint for three months and then was able to begin physical therapy. Every now and then he has trouble with this hand but otherwise he has all the moving functions of his fingers.
One way you can become a better driver is put all distractions away the text message can wait until you were at the spot you need to be. Also, if one of your friends sends you a text or whatever and they are driving down the road do not respond to them. Talk to them later on when they ask you why you didn't respond and then you can say because I think your life is worth more than that text message you were going to send me. Also just be cautious and pay attention to all roadways, if you do this you're less likely to get in a wreck but it could still happen.
