Is Drivers ed Worth It?


Drivers ed, also known as “Drivers ed”, is defined as a course of study for high-school students, that teaches the techniques of driving a vehicle, along with basic vehicle maintenance, safety precautions, and traffic regulations and laws. This course of study has a major role in avoiding deaths while driving due to the abundancy of information it contains. Accidents happen, cars have malfunctions, reducing the number of deaths while driving starts at home. Educating children on drivers ed from a young age will reduce mayorly the deaths related to driving that are avoidable. Personally, I have seen many irresponsible drivers and car crashes due to lack of knowledge. There will always be people that don’t drive safely for various reasons, to be a better and safer driver one must follow what one was showed in drivers ed.
