Driver
education is a very important type of education that everyone should
be doing. I say this because this type of education will hopefully
enlighten many teenagers who are just beginning to driver because
driving is literally a life or death situation. Of course, it will
not always be life threatening, but you NEVER know what will happen,
anything can happen at any given moment. Therefore, you must be
prepared for every possible scenario that can be thrown at you when
you are behind the wheel. Having the education of driving will
significantly reduce the amount of deaths for teenage drivers and
even adults because even adults make lots of mistakes when driving.
One very simple step you can take into being a overall better and
safe driver is not drinking and driving. This is sadly one step that
many teens and adults seem to not understand, there are many
alternatives to not driving intoxicated and getting to your desired
destination. Such as an uber, there are literally uber drivers at any
hour at the day, for most it is there job to just drive someone
around so why not call an uber rather than putting yourself at risk.
Not only is it safer but for the most part they can be the most kind
and welcoming drivers you'll meet, even though you may not remember
them the next morning. Another simple technique that can be avoided
is texting and driving. Till this day I do not understand why people
are so focused on their phone when they should really be watching the
road where at any moment you can crash for just taking your eyes off
the road for literally a split second. Many people must realize a lot
can happen in a second when driving because you will not always be
completely aware of your surrounds, especially when you’re worried
about who just texted you. This is considered multi-tasking which at
this point at our lives we must realize that it truly is a hard thing
to do, we only can focus on one thing and one thing only, which in
this case, it should be the road. Thanks to God I have not been in
any type of car crash, but I've heard plenty of stories of people who
have from being intoxicated to being on their phone. Ways we can
improve ourselves to be a better driver are by observing and actually
take into consideration what has happened to other people in fatal
car crashes and what was their mistake so we can learn off of it.
Many people must realize this is reality and not a fantasy land where
you truly believe that is something that will never happen to you for
whatever reason. In conclusion I highly recommend everyone who is
reading this to consider my points and to see it for yourself because
you never know what will happen to you next time you are the road.
Wake up and realize what you are putting yourself into next time you
are driving.
