Life
or Death
Driver
Education should be required for every student. Just one mistake
could cost someone their life or the lives of others. I have several
friends that have near death experiences due to careless driving.
There are steps that can be taken in order to prevent reckless
driving on our streets .
A
close friend of mine almost lost his life due to inattentive driving.
He was texting on his phone, and simply wasn’t paying attention to
the road. Something as minor as texting can become serious while
driving. Fortunately, he survived but others aren’t always that
lucky. He could have cost someone else their life too. All because of
one silly mistake. Even though some schools provide a driver’s
education course, it is not required for schools to offer this
course. All schools need a class devoted to teaching driver's
education. The course should allow students to discuss the dangers of
texting and other important issues related to new drivers. Driver’s
education will help to decrease car crashes and fatalities. Luckily
my friend didn’t die from his experience. However, not everyone
gets the eye-opening experience that he did. Drivers ed should
be a required class taken at school rather than just an optional
course you can take on your own.

One
wrong move could cost you or someone else their life. If students
were required to take a class that is focused on driver’s
education, it would make the road a safer place for everyone. This is
just as important as any other academic class they would be taking in
high school. Too many students text while they drive, and they do not
fully understand the high cost until it’s too late. Education on
driving in high school will help students to be wiser and better
drivers.
