Here,
lying on this table, are the two objects that represent me most, a
knife, and a pillow. Starting with the knife. My life, is filled with
many stressful things that are thrown my way. Some, much harder than
others. But with each thing thrown at me, a begin to dull down. I
might not take what’s thrown at me as well as the trial before.
Like the knife, I begin to dull down. But that can’t stop me, I
have to continue to keep cutting through the rough times. I have to
find a way to keep pushing, that when I use my faith to sharpen me
back up and finish what I started.
Then
the pillow, my pillow, much like myself is hit with the same thing
everyday. I come home jump on my bed and go to sleep. Everyday my
pillow is hit with the same trial of holding up my large head.
Because of this, my pillow knows what to expect. Much like me. I
repeat the same actions everyday. So it’s gotten to the point where
it’s just muscle memory. Eat, sleep, school, work, repeat. It’s
nothing new, never nothing new.
But
something different is what both of these object have in common. They
are the one things, that keep me sain. The knife, represents itself
in the kitchen. When I’m cooking, I feel as though all my other
cares are just gone, and it’s just me and the knife chopping away.
And the pillow, well that’s the only other place where I feel like
I’m at total piece. No worries just me.
