I lost my Best friend

One day me and my best friend was in her room making dresses for the
winter formal on December 2017. A few weeks passed and my friend
Ashely called me and said “I got a car for Christmas”. She was so
happy she came and picked me up from the house. We went riding
everywhere we went to places like the movies and the mall. I been
noticing she has not been driving with a seat belt on. I always tell
her to put a seat Belt on and she will get really mad. Christmas
break is over now and i went to school. I see Ashely and when I was
heading over there she was with the girls that bullied us for years.
So I Said “hey ashley we ain't talked since the last time I saw you
are you ok?”. She looked at me and laugh and walked away. Of course
I felt some type way in my head i thought i lost my best friend.Times
went passed and I went home and Ashely texted me asked can she come
over, I said yes. Well she came over and ask can she borrowed my
Purple shirt for this party. I said what party she said sat there and
said nothing. She looked at me and said the girls said I wasn't
invited because i was to lame an Ashley got up and left. Later on
that night I was on Snapchat and i seen everyone recording ashley
getting drunk really bad so I ran to the house phone and called her
mom to get her before she gets hurt. So many things were going
through my head i just wanted ashley home and safe. Ashley called me
and said “ doesn't matter you wasn't invited that don't mean to
tell my parents what i was doing”. All I was trying to do was help
her to be safe but she got really upset with me.i really wish i could
tell her i love you and i do anything for you. I went to sleep and my
mom woke me up saying Ashley at the hospital she got and a really bad
wreck. We rush to the ER and when I got there I seen her mom crying
and I knew my best friend was gone. All I did was break down to the
ground and cry i Felt like the world was against me, I felt like the
world was letting me down. The police said she flew threw her
windshield because she aint have her seatbelt on. I started blaming
the other girls because i know ashley don't drink and I thought they
were forcing her to do that. I was so mad at the world i didn't know
what to do I cried everyday for god giving her one more chance for
her mistake “ i said god she was a little tipsy please bring her
back I promise ill make her do better”. That's when reality hit me
and I just couldn't understand why her at a very young age. Now I'd
started a campaign called “Think Before You’ll Drive”. I'm the
president of this campaign we talk about to make better decisions
before we start the car. I know im not going to get this scholarship
but i'm just going to put my story out here to start a difference on
how we should make driving safer. I hope my story change people's
lives because it change mines it also showed me that life is just
like a blink of an eye.
