“Never
Look Away”
Learning
how to drive has to be one of the most exciting and nerve racking
things you can do, but it’s not learning that’s the problem. It
is what we do after we get a license; we forget the most important
things for example, looking at your phone while driving. We all do it
even adults do it without realizing that is the leading cause of
death in the United States. The importance of drivers ed in
reducing the number of deaths as a result of driving is for people to
learn the education and safety precautions they need to try not to
get in car accidents and prevent death.

Technology
is how we breathe today. It is all around us just like the air we
breathe, and honestly most people can’t live without it. First
thing everybody does when they open their eyes in the morning is grab
their cell phones. This goes without saying but our phones are a
serious distraction in life. The steps we can take to reduce the
number of deaths while driving is very simple to me. Get off your
phones!

Unfortunately,
I have experienced a minor car accident because I was on my phone not
even for 3 seconds. I looked down and looked up and I ran into the
back of someone’s car. It happened literally in the blink of an eye
and just that fast someone’s life could’ve been taken because I
was on my phone. I have learned greatly from this experience and I
will never be on my phone while driving again because it is just not
worth a life. Your phone isn’t going anywhere.
