Having a car, being able to drive to anywhere you like is one of the most important things in today's society. It provides a sense of freedom to the people and also gives them control over their lifestyles. However, there are a lot of accidents happening every other day because of unsafe driving. These are mostly based on intoxications and lack of attention while driving. The importance of drivers Education in reducing the number of deaths as a result of driving is that it teaches drivers what not to do while driving. By proving people with the correct way to act while driving can increasingly reduce car accidents. Although some may not want to listen to someone telling them how to act in their car, it is important to remind them that it is not only about their safety but for that of others around them. Some of the steps that can be taken to reduce deaths related to driving are: only giving license to people with no drinking problems. The government should also make sure that there are street lights everywhere so the drivers can see what's ahead. There are many streets without lights and it's hard to drive in especially at night because it gets really dark that the car lights wouldn’t be enough. As a driver, you should know your car’s limit. For example if your car is slow do not go into the fast lane. Also you should always pay attention to your surroundings. Never drive while high or drunk even if it's just down the street. And people should also be told to stop driving with one hand on the wheel and also warn young adults about the dangers of car racing in the streets. These will definitely help reduce deaths related to driving. I have been in a car accident with my uncle not too long ago. He was driving and as soon as he was turning around a corner, he accidentally hit a man. As i stated before street lights are very important and should be stressed because a lot of accidents can be avoided. Anyways, as my uncle was turning the dark street corner with barely any lights to see, he hit a walking man. The man is fine though but if there were lights placed on this block, the accident could be avoided. I don’t personally drive but some steps I would suggest in order to help others become safer drivers to not only save their lives but that of others are: to always tell the person driving to concentrate when distracted and make sure that we are following the guidelines and speed limit at all times. I would also make sure that nobody drives while intoxicated because not only is it dangerous for others but also the people in the car. I will make sure my blinkers are always working and on for when switching lanes. Another important thing is that I'll make sure my car is up to date and in good condition.
