The fatality rates of driving are not something to be proud of especially when it can be fixed. Over the last decade, the fatality rates have increased dramatically and it's only getting worse by the second if we don't try to do something about it. That´s why I want to talk about ways we can fix or help reduce the number of fatality rates or vehicle accidents. Let's start from the beginning when we all wanted to take Drivers Ed. For the people that took this class or classes, it really helped them because they know the laws of driving and how to be a safe driver. I understand that it´s not your fault if you haven't taken Drivers Ed but I would recommend that you do because it would help you be a better driver and how to drive safely. Drivers Ed helps reduce the number of deaths because they teach the driver to drive defensively and to understand the laws of driving.
The next thing I want to talk about is what steps can be taken to reduce these fatality rates. In my opinion and most people would agree with me, and that would get people to stop using their phones while driving. When your driving and trying to use your phone at the same time, you're being distracted and even if you look at your phone for a split second you could end up in a crash because you didn't see anything coming because you were to busy looking at your phone. Also by playing on your phone while driving is not only putting you in danger but the other families around you in danger. So I say we need to find a way to get people to use there phones less while driving.
Now I have never been in a vehicle accident with any friends or family nor riding while they were driving recklessly. The way I plan to be a safer driver is by not using my phone while driving and for my friends or family that I am riding with, I don´t want them using their phones. So if your riding with someone that is playing on their phone, tell them to pay attention to the road and ask them if you could get whatever they are trying to get done on their phone. These are my opinions on fatality rates and my opinions on how to get those rates down. I hope that there are a lot of people out there that want to fix this problem as well as I do.
