The importance of driver’s
education in reducing the number of deaths as a result of driving is
the students get proper education on how to be safe on the road. In
drivers ed you first do online training to learn all the
signs and the rules of driving. Then once you have completed that
course you do training behind the wheel, for this you have an
instructor on the passenger side guiding you as you are driving.

The steps that can be taken to
reduce the amount of deaths related to driving is not texting and
driving. Texting and driving are a distraction from road because you
are to focus on what you want to say to someone, and you aren’t
paying attention to the road. A simple conversation can wait until
you arrive at your destination. Another step that can be taken to
reduce the amount of deaths related to driving is not to drink and
drive. When you drink your vision gets impaired, so it isn’t safe
to be driving because you can not focus on the road. Last, speeding
is a huge problem and leads to many car accidents which lead to
death. If we go the speed limit when we are driving this will lessen
the amount of accidents that happen, which can save several peoples
life.


When I was in my early teenage
years, I did experience being in a car accident. It was raining
outside, and my mother was driving around the curve going to fast,
and her brakes locked up. We ended up crashing into a cornfield.
Luckily everyone in the car was okay, but it was still a scary
experience. This could have been prevented if my mother wasn’t
speeding. I have witnessed my friends driving recklessly, by either
texting and driving or speeding when they are in a hurry to go
somewhere.


Steps that can be taken to be
a better and safer driver is pay attention to the road and your
surroundings, not text and drive, not drink and drive, or even eat
food while you are driving. Steps that can be taken to help your
friends and family be a better and safer drive is when you notice
them doing something that doesn’t seem appropriate call them out on
it. Let them know when they are texting and driving or speeding.
Eventually they will get use to you telling them and they will stop.
