year, a terrifying amount of Americans lose their lives due to the
un that is happening on our local roads and freeways on a
daily basis. It is very important that is taught to
teenagers and to adults so it can reduce the amount of deaths that
occur. If drivers ed was enforced, there’s a big possibility
that the death rate will decrease. The pain that family and friends
go through when a loved one dies is not worth the reckless driving.
The steps that can be taken to reduce the deaths of Americans in
vehicles is to begin by educating the public and to create stricter
laws that will encourage drivers to be safe. Fortunately, I have
never experienced a car accident or have witnessed reckless driving
from a loved one. From a young age, I was always taught the safety of
the road. Some steps that I could personally take, would be to stay
at the correct speed, do not get distracted by a cell phone, and to
watch for vehicles in my blind spot, especially motorcycles.
