Almost everyone nowadays owns a phone, I myself am an owner to one and I’m constantly on it. We just have an automatic desire to always be on our phones; whether it's scrolling through social media, texting friends, or any other activities one does, everyone is alway on their phones. Now, there's a time and place where it is okay to take out your phone and do whatever you want with it. But, when it comes to driving it's something that should be greatly avoided. That one text or one liking someone's post on facebook can wait when you are driving on the road. I currently do not drive, but I do practice with my family members and when I do I make sure my phone is out of reach for me. There have been times when I have seen other fellow drivers on the road and they are using their phone. I immediately remind myself that I shouldn’t be so careless like those who choose to make this decision.
I personally have experienced being in a car accident. My family and I were coming back from visiting my grandma who lived in a city about half an hour away. It was night time when we decided to get going. Mind you it was also raining extremely hard and my dad had to drive on the freeway in order to get home. Since the rain was a big inconvenience that no one expected my dad made sure to drive cautious for my family's safety. Soon, out of nowhere a car abruptly crashed into our car. We had been hit and ended up on the side of the free way. It was a very scary incident that I had to witness. Thankfully no one was injured and the only damage done was to the vehicles. I wish it upon no one to ever have to experience something as terrifying as this incident
