Taking
a drivers ed is very essential in today's driving world as
there are currently around 225,721,700
licensed drivers that commute everyday. That number is always
advancing and that number is not conclusive of the people who drive
without their drivers license.
I
am currently a licensed driver that drives to school everyday, and I
abide by every law that is mandated to maintain safe driving. I
personally was in a car accident when I was younger in the back seat
when me and my family were traveling. The crash wasn’t horrific,
thankfully but from that day on I have been traumatized. It was very
impactful to my driving life as it has made me a safer and more
cautious driver on the streets.
It
is very important that people take drivers ed as they gain essential
driving skills and become more vulnerable to the damage that can be
done on the road as last year there was an estimated 40,00 people who
died on U.S. streets. That number is very significant as it does not
solely affect one person's life but the people that they were
connected to, mothers, fathers, children, etc. Being diligent with
drivers ed will help reduce these casualties caused on our roads.
I
believe most of these fatalities come from people who are either on
their phones or under the influence, and I feel the best way to
reduce the casualty rate would be to enforce a detector of some sorts
to see if a person is either on their phone and I feel every person
who steps foot into a bar should have a breathalyzer in their
vehicle.
I
was in a car accident with my parents and it was very traumatizing to
me since it was the first time. We had a green light on an
intersection and this lady wasn’t patient enough to wait so she
wanted to turn on red, we were already there practically. She T-boned
us hitting us on the right side of the car which was where I was
sitting. There wasn’t that much damage on us but the car was
different.
By
mandating every driver to follow the law and or be more harsh with
law enforcement.
