Safe
Driving for Everyone

Educating
drivers is very important because at some point throughout the day
everyone travels by some sort of vehicle. It is important to teach
people how to be safe on the road so that less accidents will occur
in the future. If more people are educated on the importance of safe
driving habits, there will be a huge decrease in the number of deaths
as a result of driving.

A
few steps that can be taken in order to reduce the number of deaths
related to driving is to teach people about right of way turns and
how to accurately tell if they have or don't have the right of way at
a left turn on a green light. Many deaths occur because people don't
know whether or not they have the right of way at a turn and end up
guessing or dodging out in front of oncoming cars because they lack
the knowledge of knowing whether or not they have the right of way.

Another
step that could be taken in order to reduce the number of deaths as a
result of driving is to have a device that can be plugged into the
driver's cell phone. It is astonishing to look at the number of
deaths that are related with texting while driving. Today's
technology is much more advanced than the technology from ten years
ago, so a device that can be plugged into the driver's cell phone in
the vehicle while the person is driving could set an alarm in the
vehicle and automatically vibrate the steering wheel in order to put
the driver's focus back to the road.

Many
friends and family members of mine text while drive even when people
are in the vehicle with them. Because of our concerns with everyone's
safety, we have all taken steps in order to prevent an accident from
happening in the future. We have all agreed to put our phones in the
dash compartment of the car while in the car so that it becomes a
habit and no one will be tempted to look at their cell phones while
driving.
