How important is taking safety precautions while driving? I can answer that question. Very important. More people die or are endured from car accidents that you could even believe. Some safety tips can be used to reduce this number. One safety tip is always wearing your seatbelt, as well as everyone present in the vehicle. Never put the car into drive when there are passengers not wearing their seat belt. Another safety precaution is to remove distractions from the driver. The use of cellular devices can cause huge distractions and can increase the chance of wrecks. Not only is playing on your phone while driving dangerous for yourself and your passengers, but it also puts everyone on the roads in danger as well. You might say you need your phone for a GPS, but make sure the passenger in the passenger seat helps with directions or look up directions before you go. Another idea is to put your phone into navigation gear where the directions are spoken out loud.
I have personally never been in a car accident and I hope for it to stay that way. I have seen the side effects of a car accident scene before and it was tragic. Two body bags were laying on stretches and they were trying to get the one survivor out of the other car. I later found out the girl’s legs were trapped under the dash. She was the only one wearing her seat belt. I cannot stress how important it is to wear your seat belt and keep eyes on the road. Some steps I have taken are speaking up to my friends when they don’t wear their seat belt and encourage them to wear them. Also build boards about driving safe help drivers as well with a reminder of putting safety first.
