Steps to Safe Driving
One of the most underestimated aspects of growing up in drivers ed. If you think about it, drivers ed could possibly determine whether or not you live in some situations. Drivers ed is the most important thing when it comes to deaths of drivers because driver's ed is where people need to pay attention and understand that what they are learning is how they will be driving for the rest of their lives. Without this guidance and teaching, the roads would be complete chaos and the number of deaths would increase exponentially. One step that can be taken in order to reduce the number of these deaths would be to keep enhancing the voice-activated commands on phones so people do not need to look at their phones and can simply use their voice. Another step would be to develop a way to give cars the ability to absorb more contact so it could help the impact of the driver when in an accident. I have experienced multiple times where I pull up to a red light and the driver next to me is on their phone and stays on it even when the light turns green so they are looking at their phone while driving which is unsettling when I am next to them because I do not know if they will swerve or lose control. A step I can take to be a better driver is learning to be more patient because I am a very impatient person so when I get irritated I try to find a way around a person instead of waiting for them to speed up.
