I consider myself to be an ideal applicant for this essay because I am a very safe driver and others have commented well on my driving too. I went to a great driving school so I am well educated. I make the proper decisions in stressful situations and I have never gotten pulled over or been in a crash where I was the driver. With my driving school, I was taught the proper rules of the road and safety for myself, others on the road and in the area. Drivers ed is important because I know important laws, like not to be on your phone while driving, to focus on the road and my surroundings.
The steps that can be taken to prevent deaths are through myself paying attention to my task at hand. I will prevent many potential accidents caused by other drivers or pedestrians. As of result, less deaths will occur through cautious driver such as myself. In my opinion, everyone should attend driving school so they can become the best possible driver for their safety and for others. I feel it is in everyone’s best interest to be a safe driver so they do not drive irresponsibly. I myself have had an experience with an irresponsible driver. I was with one of my parents and they were driving under the influence with myself in the vehicle. I did not know of their situation as I entered the vehicle with them. We were not in our hometown so there was nothing I could do because they would not admit that they were not okay to be driving. This was the most terrifying event of my life but thankfully we did not get into a crash. I would never drive under the influence because it is not only dangerous to you and the people in your vehicle but everyone around you. Yet, one of my parents did not think it through. Others who were drinking with him should have said something to me so I could be safe and not get into the vehicle with a driver under the influence, because someone could have died that night or gotten badly injured. They could have taken their keys away or informed me to the driver because I was in good shape. I understand the importance of being a safe driver, unlike them.
Furthermore, I have been in an accident in the second grade. My mom, her boyfriend, my mummu, granny and I were all out for my granny’s birthday. After dropping her off at her retirement home we got into a crash at a two way stop. My mom’s boyfriend was driving and he did not pay attention to the lady driving who did not stop at her stop sign. She was running late to work and did not stop. I was behind the passenger seat and my door was hit and the car did a 180*. The frame of the car bent inwards and hit me on the left top side of my head. I was hospitalized but I had a bump on my had for two months and I was the only one who was affected so it was not a bad crash. This driver who hit us should have managed her time to work better so she does not cause a crash like that again. She could have killed someone since she was being very irresponsible. Hopefully she learned her lesson to manage her time, especially because of the crash it made her even more late to work.
Ultimately, I hope that all drivers will be well educated so they will never have a bad experience with them as a driver. Also, that they know how to avoid a potential accident. Irresponsible drivers could hurt themselves or others which is not something that people should intend to do. In conclusion, driving school provides education to help everyone be the best possible driver they can be so everyone is safe in all communities.
