Driver's ED is important because it teaches teenagers and any first time drivers the skills needed to operate a car properly and the rules of the road to prevent people from being in danger. To reduce the death toll, we need to emphasize the dangers of people using their smartphones while driving as it is a distraction. We also need to change how the highways operate. Most car accidents occur on the highway and that's due to the speed that most people driving in it. In my experience driving in the highway, it is very dangerous to turn lanes even if you follow the directions properly. While I am lucky to never be in an accident, I have seen my friends and family driving too fast or sometimes on their phone.
