Driving education is very important for anybody who is behind the wheel. Being educated before driving a vehicle can prevent someone from having bad experiences such as: speeding tickets, car accidents or any other types of tragic events. Before driving a vehicle, every person must go through a process and study course. This process can help prevent not only tickets but also prevent accidents. Driving education helps you become a better driver and drive in the safest way possible to reduce car accident deaths.
Some steps that can be taken to improve driving and reduce deaths caused by car accidents can be to enforce drivers education before sitting behind the wheel. Drivers education should ensure the safety of not only the people behind the wheel but also any passengers and other drivers on the road. There could also be more laws that target distracted drivers such as being on your phone, not paying attention to the road or even people who eat while driving. Having a fee or “punishment” for drivers that don't keep our roads safe will ensure that people are more attentive to their surroundings.  Another issue that can help reduce the deaths caused by car accidents is maintaining roads in good condition. Having debris, potholes or even fallen over signs may lead to accidents from drivers suddenly braking or swerving causing a danger for all those around. The government could also use campaigns to educate drivers and show the danger of being distracted while driving. Long highways have signs throughout the road to remind people not to text and drive, but maybe this could be used on smaller roads as well.  By doing all of this, we can help reduce car accidents.
    Unfortunately, back in 2021, I was involved in a very bad car accident. I was on my way to play soccer with some friends when out of nowhere I got hit from behind by two cars. I was at a red light when this occurred and it ended up being a 4-car accident and I was very unlucky to be in the middle. The accident was caused by a lady that was on her phone while driving. Due to that accident, I lost my first ever car and I was diagnosed with severe constant headaches for a few months and even got a small bone in my spine out of place. After that horrific car accident, I was too traumatized and scared to drive even 6 months after the accident. Due to the car accident, I also had to start a treatment for my back and my neck. When I get in somebody else’s car, and I see that they get distracted and don’t pay attention to the road or the way they are driving I always say something. They might not think it is a big deal but as someone with firsthand experience of a reckless driver, you can never be too safe. 
Some steps that must be considered when driving to reduce the number of deaths include not getting distracted, whether that be not using the phone, focusing on the road, and going at the speed limit is very important. By integrating enforcement, education, technology, and infrastructure upgrades, society can drastically lower the number of fatalities caused by traffic and make roads safer for everybody.
    In order for me to be a better driver, there are a few things that I can improve myself. For example, when driving I can work on not putting my music too loud so I can fully focus on the road and my surroundings to not get distracted. Another thing I can improve is to always always keep my hands on the steering wheel. I can also scan the road and keep my eyes wide open for any possible hazards on the road. Another thing I could do is try to avoid driving in very bad weather conditions. One last thing that I can improve while driving is to make sure that I always leave on time so I can drive carefully and not speed on the roads. By following these steps, I can make a huge difference not only in me but in others also to have better driving habits. I will make sure that I don’t become a reckless driver and that I do my part to keep my road safe.  
Good driving habits are very important for everybody on the road. By following the law, driving responsibly following and these habits we can all help reduce deaths caused by car accidents.
