The importance of Safe Driving

Like riding a bike
or learning to walk, you must learn how to drive a car through trial
and error in order to master the skill. The problem is that many
people disregard drivers ed because they feel like they
already know how to drive, they are more than content with just
passing the classes and taking the tests than actually taking into
consideration what is being taught. It is important for people who
take these classes and those who are on the road to seriously take
into consideration what is being taught, because it might save your
life.
You can certainly
increase your ability to drive on the road by practicing, after all
practice makes perfect. Now, I know that there are some people out
there that would more than love for you to read the entire driver’s
handbook but let's be realistic here, all you need to learn is what
you are being taught at the school. These people will have taught
people how to drive for a long time and know the laws concerning
driving in the area, just take what they teach to heart.
I feel like I need
to stress the importance of not driving while distracted, nor while
intoxicated nor under influence. These things are just asking to end
in disaster for all parties involved. Fortunately I never had to deal
with someone who became a victim of a car crash, but my dad has. He
had a friend who loved to race in the streets and was easily
distracted. His ignorance finally caught up to him and he died in a
horrible car crash in 2013. This goes to show that it doesn’t
matter how good you think you are behind a wheel, if you ignore these
laws there is a very real chance that you will pay dearly for your
consequences.
I can better myself
while driving by being extra careful and become more observant of my
surroundings. For starters, no cell phones, I feel like that is a
given to anyone who has ever driven with common sense, but then again
common sense is not really common. Drive always during the daytime,
but if you need to drive at night or in a situation where the
conditions are subpar, drive carefully, you never know what might
just happen.
These basic skills
may sound trivial, but you better know for sure that they save lives,
not just yours but your peer’s.
